i agree with PCMOM that anything above the tv will look out of place. the nice feature of that room is the high ceilings and that tv breaks the room height right in half. what about why not put the TV above the table (filled with picture frames) across from the sofa? besides looking out of place and at an uncomfortable viewing height over the fireplace, it ruins the flow of the room. We need to increase the height of the wall separating our houses. The little girl used to climb up on the wall and look at our swimming pool, but I glared at her enough times that she no longer does this. That night they stole some of the outdoor lighting that lit my sidewalk, but they no longer play in my front yard, and so it was worth it. One day they were playing in my front yard, screaming, and so I went outside and told them to stay out of my front yard. Screaming children are worse than the barking dog, but the children do not play outside for more than an hour at a time. ![]() The neighbor on the other side has grandchildren that visit almost every day, and they scream loudly whenever they are in the yards playing. I called the police, but they said they could not determine where the noise was coming from, and so that was pointless. One neighbor we have now has a basset hound that will occasionally bark for hours without stopping when the owner is away from her house. Here tax accountant near me from company YBL. ![]() ![]() We would not be able to afford a house or private pool as large as we have now, but we would be able to have rental income. If I had it to do over, I would buy in Palm Springs instead of adjacent Cathedral City, even though PS is slightly more expensive. Also, shortly after we closed on this house (which is our vacation house), the city put a ban on short term vacation rentals, and I was counting on that for additional income. I like the house but not the next door neighbors.
